I'm a former nanoscientist turned data scientist, currently working in the customer insights team at HostelWorld in sunny Dublin,Ireland.

Professional Interests


I love a good data deepdive, fitting models to predict customer behavour, or simply discovering insights and using them to inform business strategy and decision making.

Personal Interests


I'm always in the mood for learning something new, whether it's through reading about Irish history, listening to a philosophy podcast, watching random Youtube videos or just chatting with friends about current events. I also love to travel, experience new cultures and eat crazy foods.

My research interests were in additive manufacturing (printed / sprayed electronics) specifically using cutting edge nanomaterials and not-so cutting edge household printers.

PhD Researcher (Nanoscience)

Role: PhD Researcer

My research focused on mixing 2 dimensional nanomaterials with carbon nanotubes to create catalysts for splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen. The main applications for this technology was cheaper renewable energy storage, and fule production for hydro-electric vehicles.

Playing with polymers and carbon nanotubes to create white light emitting devices (similar to LEDs) for room lighting applications.
